- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 2 cups Water
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Ghee
- 1/2 cup Raisins

- 1/2 cup Candied Pineapple
- 1/2 cup Dried Cranberries
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 4 Green Cardamom Pods
- 4 Cloves
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 tsp Salt

Method
- Wash the Basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- Heat the ghee in a large pot and add the cinnamon stick, green cardamom pods, cloves, bay leaf, cumin seeds, and fennel seeds.
- Add the soaked rice to the pot and stir well. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add 2 cups of water and 1 cup of milk to the pot and bring it to a boil. Then, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, heat a frying pan and add the raisins, cashew nuts, almonds, and pistachios. Roast them until they turn golden brown.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove the pot from the heat and add the roasted nuts, candied pineapple, and dried cranberries. Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and transfer it to a serving dish.
