  5. Add 1/4 cup of peanuts and sauté till they turn golden brown.
  6. Add 1 sprig of curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons of tamarind paste and sauté for a minute.
  8. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  9. Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool.
  10. Add the cooled rice to the mixture and mix well.
  11. Iyengar Tamarind Rice is now ready to be served.
