Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of basmati rice

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp red chili powder

Method

  1. Rinse the rice in cold water and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat 4 cups of water in a large pot and add the soaked rice. Cook until the rice is almost done, then drain and set aside.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chopped onion and fry until it is soft and translucent.
  5. Add the minced garlic and ginger paste and fry for another minute.
  6. Add the ground beef or lamb and fry until it is browned and cooked through.
  7. Add the mixed vegetables and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add the soy sauce, red chili powder, salt, and pepper and mix well.
  9. Add the cooked rice to the wok and mix well with the keema and vegetables.
  10. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use any type of ground meat for this recipe, such as chicken or turkey.
  • You can also add other vegetables such as mushrooms, broccoli, or peppers.
  • If you like your fried rice to be spicy, you can add more red chili powder or a chopped green chili.
