- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

- A mixing bowl

Method
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
- Add the water, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add the sliced rice cake and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 30-40 minutes until the rice cake is soft and tender.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs.
- Slowly pour the beaten eggs into the simmering soup, stirring gently with a ladle to create egg ribbons.
- Add the chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
